Let
Us Not Complain

You
know we are never
satisfied-we always
complain.
'The sun is too hot or
there is not enough
rain.'
We
complain-'The winters are
too long, wet and cold.'
We say-'We are not
twenty-one, or we are too
old.'
We put
out our wash and
complain-'It is not
white.'
When it's cloudy we
say-'We can't see the
sunlight.'
We go
to church and say, 'The
preacher talks too long,'
Or we complain-'They
didn't ask me to sing a
song.'
We
complain-'The neighbors
have their television too
loud,'
And about the other
neighbors- 'I can hear
their baby cry.'
We go
out to eat and complain
the way the steak was
cooked,
You see a man down the
street and say-
'The way he's dressed,
you'd think he was a
crook!'
So
today, whatever comes our
way-let's be happy,
And try not to be so
snappy-

FOR IN THIS WORLD-There
are many places,
And many people with
different color faces.
We were
nor born by our own
choice, but by God's
will,
He gave us a brain and
senses to see, hear,
taste, and feel!
We
should not complain about
the color of one's skin,
And when we meet only
just say-'Hi' again.
We
should not have to carry
a knife or a gun,
We should get together
and have some fun.
To all
the little children-we
should teach right from
wrong,
Teach them the A-B-C's,
and how to sing a song.
I do
believe this could be a
better world,
If we didn't go around in
such a tizzie-or a whirl.
So
today-let us not
complain,
Instead-be kind to
everyone we meet,
So the world will be a
better place.
