Grandma's Advice

I asked my grandma for some good advice,

She said, "Honey, sometimes we all think life is not fair.

There will lots of days you will hit a snare,

But don't throw up your hands and give up.

You aren't so bad if you can hold your drinking cup.

You will have to learn to pay the price.

"All through history it has been this way,

Just take one day at a time, and start a new day.

You will have some problems just like the rest of us,

Just try to be happy and don't make a fuss.

You are not the only one that has to work.

"You will hear some words that will hurt...

But don't try to keep up with the neighbors,

For you'll be sorry if you do...

Take care of what you have, and take care of youself.

"I have been here for many a year, and

I find there is always someone that cares.

Don't ever feel sorry for yourself,

Any bad feelings you have...put them on a shelf.

"You will have some good days, and some will be bad,

But be thankful for the good days you've had.

Be good to yourself and to your friends,

You will find it will pay off in the end.

Don't be afraid to work hard,

For in the long run you will get a reward.

"Life goes by so quickly, and whatever you do or go

Thank God for your health, because with him,

there is no need for wealth...

Always sing his praises, and find time to pray.

Most of all Thank God, for His Love Divine."

I said, "Thank you Grandma,

I will remember what you said."
