Six Months Are Gone

The first six months of this year are gone,

And the next six is coming on.

I'm wondering if I have done everything right,

I prayed that I have helped someone to see the light.

We are living in a cruel world.

We don't need things made of pearl.

We shouldn't worry about worldly things

If we lose our soul we have nothing to gain.

We all get so busy we forget to pray

But it's going to take sincere prayer from day to day

Our Lord always hears our prayers,

And He's the one that really cares.

We should thank the Lord for our two hands,

And thank Him for our merciful plans.

Look around and see the flowers grow,

And know it's because of the rain and the wind that blows.

Let's pray for our neigbors who may not know God

They really need our prayers and our love.

Pray they will call on our Lord up above,

Before the next six months are gone.
